Overview

The ACL 4B8172H-.025 Race Series Connecting Rod Bearing Set is designed for select Ford 2.0L and 2.3L EcoBoost engines and the Mazda 2.3L MZR DISI Turbo. Unlike the .25mm undersize version, this .025mm bearing is approximately .001" thicker than standard, providing approximately .001" less oil clearance while retaining the standard crankshaft journal size.

Construction & Design

ACL Race Series bearings are engineered around performance use, with bearing geometry designed to support hydrodynamic oil-film formation and compensate for bore distortion under demanding operating conditions. The 4B8172H-.025 uses increased bearing thickness to reduce clearance by approximately .001" compared with the standard H-STD version.
