Overview

The ACL 4B8172HX-STD Race Series Connecting Rod Bearing Set is a standard-size performance bearing set with approximately 0.001" (0.025mm) additional oil clearance. Designed for select Ford EcoBoost and Mazda MZR turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the HX-series bearings are well suited for performance and high-output engine builds where additional bearing clearance is desired.

Construction & Design

ACL Race Series bearings use tri-metal construction with hardened steel backing and performance-focused bearing geometry. The HX configuration uses a thinner bearing wall to provide additional oil clearance while retaining a standard-size crankshaft specification.
