aFe developed the Vulcan Series to improve performance without sacrificing everyday drivability. In-house dyno testing showed gains of up to +3 horsepower and +4 lb-ft of torque, while the tuned exhaust design delivers a deeper, throatier sound than the factory system.

Construction & Design

The aFe 49-33148-B is manufactured from mandrel-bent 304 stainless steel, providing excellent resistance to corrosion while maintaining the strength needed for long-term use. The system transitions from 2.5-inch tubing to 3-inch tubing, helping improve exhaust flow while maintaining proper fitment with the Ranger's factory exhaust configuration.

The system is 100% MIG-welded for strength and durability. Black clamp-on stainless steel exhaust tips complete the system, providing an aggressive appearance and featuring laser-etched aFe POWER branding.

Performance & Sound

aFe's in-house dyno testing recorded gains of up to 3 horsepower and 4 lb-ft of torque with the Vulcan Series exhaust installed. The larger mandrel-bent tubing helps reduce exhaust restriction and allows the turbocharged 2.3L EcoBoost to move exhaust gases more efficiently.

The system also provides a noticeably more aggressive exhaust note than the factory Ranger exhaust. aFe describes the sound as throaty, giving the Ranger additional character under acceleration while maintaining street-friendly drivability.

Installation & Fitment

The 49-33148-B is designed specifically for the 2024–2026 Ford Ranger equipped with the 2.3L EcoBoost engine. Installation utilizes the Ranger's existing mounting locations and factory isolators, eliminating the need for cutting or permanent vehicle modifications.

The system includes the muffler assembly, over-axle section, tailpipe, clamps, hanger bracket, and necessary installation components. aFe recommends leaving the exhaust components loose during initial assembly, aligning the complete system, and then tightening the clamps and hardware from front to rear. Clamps and hardware should be rechecked after approximately 50–100 miles.

Fitment Note: This system is not compatible with Rangers equipped with the factory tow package.
