Overview

Add reverse illumination and a red running light using an open trailer-hitch receiver. The C1R also provides an auxiliary brake light with optional SafetyStrobe.

Construction & Design

Aluminum light housing and focused TIR optics. The kit installs in a compatible 2-inch receiver; current manufacturer kits include a 2.5-inch adapter.

Installation & Fitment

Equipment-based fitment: requires a compatible open-back receiver and 7-pin trailer connection. Check Diode Dynamics’ vehicle-specific harness exceptions before ordering. C1R brake functionality is not compatible with Ram trucks. Some trailer-detection systems require the supplied brake-signal tap. The light occupies the receiver and must be removed for towing. It supplements the factory lamps.
