Overview

The Bilstein 47-336261 B8 6112 is built for the front suspension of the 2024–2026 Ford Ranger. It uses a 60mm digressive piston and vehicle-specific tuning to improve suspension control while retaining a direct-fit mounting layout.

This front suspension kit combines two large-body shocks with matched cold-wound springs and billet aluminum spring seats. Multiple snap-ring positions provide 1–2.5 inches of front lift for the Ranger application, allowing the front suspension height to be set as part of the shock-and-spring upgrade.

Key Features

  • 60mm digressive piston with Ranger-specific tuning.
  • Application range: 1–2.5 inches of front lift.
  • Monotube gas-pressure design helps limit oil foaming during repeated suspension movement.
  • Matched cold-wound coil springs and billet aluminum spring seats.
  • Selectable spring-seat positions for the specified front lift range.

Construction & Design

The 60mm piston works inside a monotube damper body. Separating the pressurized gas from the working oil helps keep damping more consistent as the shock cycles over rough surfaces.

The 2.65-inch outside-diameter body provides room for the larger piston and additional oil capacity, improving the damper’s ability to manage heat.

    Installation & Fitment

    • Front assembly and spring-seat setup are required. Set the snap-ring position using Bilstein’s Ranger-specific instructions; spring compression equipment is required during assembly.
    • Ranger Raptor is excluded. Check wheel alignment after front suspension work.
