Overview

The FOX 987-24-023 2.5 Performance Series rear shock is designed for the 2017–2026 Ford Super Duty. It controls suspension movement in the lift configuration listed below, helping the truck stay composed on uneven roads and off-road surfaces.

Hydraulic Top Out adds position-sensitive rebound control near full extension. Oil is directed through a secondary shim stack to slow the shaft as the suspension approaches top-out, reducing harsh extension events that can be more noticeable with larger tires or lifted suspension.

Construction & Design

Installation & Fitment

• Install in the rear shock locations using the mount types listed below. This shock does not raise vehicle ride height; the existing springs and lift components determine the stance.
• FOX application notes: Lift: 6-8 inches.
• Use the rear lift height when selecting a rear shock; a lift kit’s advertised front height may differ from its rear height.
