Overview

The FOX 883-26-097 2.5 Performance Elite Series front shock is designed for the 2017–2026 Ford Super Duty. It controls suspension movement in the lift configuration listed below, helping the truck stay composed on uneven roads and off-road surfaces.

The external reservoir adds fluid capacity for repeated suspension movement, and Dual Speed Compression adjustment lets you tune low- and high-speed compression for the load and terrain. Vehicle-specific valving supports everyday driving, hauling, and off-road use.

2.5" impact extruded and CNC machined 6061-T6 Type III anodized aluminum body.

7/8" hard chrome plated steel shafts.

The seal system combines a main seal, wiper, and scraper to protect the working components.

• Compressed shock length: 16.01 inches.
• Shock stroke: 8.78 inches.
• Upper mount: Stem Top.
• Lower mount: Eyelet.

Installation & Fitment

• Install in the front shock locations using the mount types listed below. This shock does not raise vehicle ride height; the existing springs and lift components determine the stance.
• FOX application notes: 2017–2019: 2.5 inch lift | 2020 and newer within the listed years (Non-Tremor): 2.5-3.5 inch lift | Tremor: 1-1.5 inch lift.
• Minimum bump-stop spacer: 2.0 inches, as specified by FOX for this application. Verify these dimensions against the installed suspension.
• Minimum spring free length: 23.0 inches, as specified by FOX for this application. Verify these dimensions against the installed suspension.
