Overview

The FOX 987-24-068 2.5 Performance Series rear shock is designed for the 2024–2026 Ford Ranger. It controls suspension movement in the lift configuration listed below, helping the truck stay composed on uneven roads and off-road surfaces.

The internal floating piston separates the high-pressure nitrogen charge from the shock oil. That separation helps prevent aeration so the vehicle-specific damping remains consistent as the suspension moves over rough roads and trails.

2.5” Impact extruded and CNC machined 6061-T6 clear anodized aluminum one-piece body resists rust over time.

5/8" hard chrome plated heat-treated alloy steel.

• Extended shock length: 24.82 inches.
• Compressed shock length: 16.19 inches.
• Shock stroke: 8.63 inches.
• Upper mount: Eyelet.
• Lower mount: Eyelet.

Installation & Fitment

• Install in the rear shock locations using the mount types listed below. This shock does not raise vehicle ride height; the existing springs and lift components determine the stance.
• Fits the listed 4WD Ranger application and excludes Ranger Raptor.
• Use the rear lift height when selecting a rear shock; a lift kit’s advertised front height may differ from its rear height.
