Part #: ABSFRRGR
The Timbren Active Off-Road Rear Bumpstop Kit is designed to provide smoother, more controlled rear suspension bottom-out protection for the 2019β2025 Ford Ranger. Replacing the factory rear bumpstops, Timbren's Active Off-Road system uses progressive-rate Aeon rubber springs to absorb hard suspension impacts encountered on trails, washouts, whoops, and rough terrain.
Instead of the abrupt engagement associated with conventional factory bumpstops, the progressive Aeon springs compress as the axle moves upward, progressively absorbing energy before the suspension reaches the limits of its travel. This helps reduce harsh bottoming impacts, decrease stress on suspension components and shocks, and provide smoother axle engagement during demanding off-road driving.
The Timbren Active Off-Road Bumpstops feature patented Aeon progressive-rate rubber springs engineered specifically to cushion hard suspension impacts. The system has a 3,000-lb capacity and 10,000-lb bump-load capacity, providing substantial impact resistance during aggressive suspension compression. The bumpstops require no air pressure, hydraulic fluid, or routine maintenance and provide quiet, progressive engagement as the rear suspension moves through its travel.
Timbren's Aeon hollow rubber springs use a progressive spring rate that increases resistance as the bumpstop compresses. This allows initial suspension engagement to remain relatively soft while progressively increasing support as the axle moves closer to full compression.
The ABSFRRGR has an overall kit height of 4.5 inches, a fully compressed height of approximately 2 inches, and provides approximately 2.5 inches of total deflection. Unlike hydraulic bumpstops, the Aeon rubber design requires no seals, fluid, nitrogen charging, or periodic servicing.
The Timbren ABSFRRGR is designed for the rear suspension of 2019β2026 Ford Ranger 2WD and 4WD models.
The Active Off-Road Bumpstops replace the factory rear bumpstops and use vehicle-specific mounting components for installation.
Does not fit Ford Ranger Raptor.
Timbren also states that its Active Off-Road Bumpstops can be used with lifted vehicles, making them suitable for Rangers equipped with aftermarket suspension systems.
The package includes:
Perfect for 2019β2026 Ford Ranger owners who regularly drive off-road, the Timbren Active Off-Road Rear Bumpstop Kit is ideal for trail driving, overlanding, washboard roads, whoops, and other conditions that frequently use the full range of rear suspension travel. The progressive Aeon spring design helps soften hard bottom-outs while reducing impact loads transferred into the Ranger's shocks, suspension, and chassis.
